Obama Wins Roll Call Vote

Obama Wins Roll Call Vote with HILLARY'S call to end Roll call and make it official by acclamation. This was a foregone conclusion when Hillary released her delegates.Watching the roll call I saw states 'passing'(for what reason?).I saw states delegates voting other then they were pledged to vote.I saw disrespect for the state of Arkansas, other states and to Hillary during the roll call of votes. To this point one of my fav momments of the convention has been seeing Sen.Kennedy's speach.Odd,really that I would feel this way.Perhaps it is as I remember Robert Kennedy and remember Ted's run in '80 against Carter.(I supported Ted then and I remember his speach at that convention that he eluded to at this convention).Looking back on this year Ted was way out of line to say that Hillary should quit.If Hillary would have done as Ted in 1980 at this time we would be talking about the mess at the Democratic Convention.Thank you HILLARY for bringing this party together!

Ted Kennedy 2008 DNC Convention

Look soon for an announcement Friday of Perhaps a change of direction for this blog and my other related Hillary sites-perhaps not?

A warm Welcome from the DNC and a great message from Senator Hillary Clinton

Oh well it's over for now. Obama is too much of a light weight to beat McCain. Hopefully McCain will only serve 1 term and then Hillary can come back in 2012.

I don't plan on wasting any time or money on Barack. He's a nice guy, but it will only be a couple of months before he becomes another irrelevant Dem. like Al Gore or John Kerry.

I really find this piece enlightening, brave and informative. I believe more people should be reading this.
Top Three things to Know Before Voting OBAMA:
(1) Obama needs to prove he is a US citizen - http://tinyurl.com/Prove-UR-US-OK
(2) Obama is not an alternative to right wing McCain
(3) Read the book "Obama the Postmodern Coup" to see he will support war and repressive social policies

From former President Bill Clinton's speech:

......................

Now, Senator Obama's life is a 21st-century incarnation of the old-fashioned American dream. His achievements are proof of our continuing progress toward the more perfect union of our founders' dreams. The values of freedom and equal opportunity, which have given him his historic chance, will drive him as president to give all Americans -- regardless of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability -- their chance to build a decent life and to show our humanity, as well as our strengths, to the world.

......................

Is this enough to convince me to vote for Barack?

No.

Why should I vote for a party that disenfranchised two states' voters and delegates?

Why should I vote for a candidate who never won the popular vote and STILL hasn't earned the qualifying delegates? The DNC intentionally orchestration a situation in which Hillary interrupted the roll call vote to automatically name him the VP, and they forced states that voted for Hillary to yield their votes to New York, and forced to New York to vote for Obama in a "show of unity".

Why should I vote for a party that refused to allow all the delegates to vote for whomever they wanted to vote for?

Why should I vote for a party that bullied delegates into voting for Obama?

Why should I vote for a party that forced out the most qualified candidate?

Why should I vote for a party that bullied the winner of the popular vote and stripped that person of her delegates then bullied them into voting for the second-choice candidate?

Why should I vote for a party that in 2000 screamed Al Gore should have been president for winning the popular vote yet now screams the person who won the popular vote must be bullied into submission?

Why should I vote for a candidate who refused to discuss Jeremiah Wright's comments in context of his sermons (Wright's comments were out of context and exploited by the media, but in context, they are valid, and are representative of what tens of millions of Democrats - inncluding Obama - have been saying for 8 years, tens of millions of Democrats including Obama have said the SAME exact things as Wright) and instead blamed everybody else for being racist (before eventually "denouncing" Wright)?

Why should I vote for Barack when he completely mishandled the Wright situation and flip-flopped his position repeatedly during that situation?

Why should I vote for Barack when he unveiled his UNIVERSAL health care plan during his campaign in April, then flip-flipped it in June in order to attack Hillary's universal health care plan, a plan that he himself championed on the campaign trail before flip-flopping, and praised extensively in two of his books?

Why should I vote for Barack when he lied during a debate when he told Hillary he never worked with Tony Rezko despite the fact that records and video footage prove he worked with him (Rezko was his BOSS at one point...) and purchased land from him and was his neighbour and used his house frequently for campaigning purposes and borrowed money from him?

Why should I vote for Barack when his "Blueprint for change" lists his positions but provide ZERO details on how he plans to implement his positions as legislation?

Why should I vote for Barack when he flip-flopped his key positions to equate himself to Hillary, then flip-flopped his key positions to equate himself to McCain?

Why should I vote for Barack when he repeatedly refused to openly discuss his career resume during debates or interviews?

Why should I vote for a party that forced out the winning candidate then bullied the winning candidate into supporting the losing candidate?

Why should I be bullied into voting for a party that openly engages in dirty politics and calls anyone racist who points out these facts?

How dare Bill Clinton compare himself to Obama - Clinton had 1000x more political/life experience before becoming President than Obama will ever have - Obama was born into a middle-class WHITE household and raised by WHITE financially secure people, and played around until he nearly flunked out of Columbia.

Why should I vote for him when he pretends to be a product of the Black experience when he not only has zero connection to the Black experience, but the prime reason for why he wrote his first book was to come to terms with the fact that he was a Black man who lacked the Black experience due to his white upbringing, but was isolate from the white environment because of his skin colour.

He is a liar and fraud, screw him and screw the DNC.

Vote for a third party candidate or write in Hillary's name or vote for McCain - at least McCain has taken public responsibility for his ethical failings, instead of blaming everybody else for his mistakes, like Obama does.

If the PUMAs vote for Mccain just because he has a woman as a running they make themselves ridiculous. I thought they were voting for what Hilary stood for and not just because she is a woman.

To all the "Why Shoulds?" listed below.....
Can we continue with John McCain?
Can we continue with the idea of "trickle down" economics?
Can we really survive 4 years or more of a Republican controlled White House?
Can we continue to spend billions on oil while barring and underfunding science and energy alternatives as we've done over the past 30 years--of which John McCain has been there for 28 of them?
Can we continue to support the Iraq war sacrificing our youth and our tax dollars for 100 years as John McCain says we may need to do?
Can we tolerate...knowing we have tortured human beings without a trial, under suspicion of "terror" when we know this is so morally wrong and so NOT a part of our principles as a people?
There are so many, many Can we stand it? Can we tolerate it? questions stemming from the choices and decisions of the Bush/Republican power in eight years! I say we CAN NOT tolerate it--we have had enough!
I am mad at my party! I am especially angry with the DNC committees who have done these things you have listed. We know who they are and we need to be working to change those committees and remove those people. That is our job to do as Democrates and also, believe it or not, once we get active,it is completely within our power to do! After all this is our party. We can gripe about it or move on it. I say we move, each one of us in each and every state we live. With that said there is one thing I am not willing to do. I will not fail to work tirelessly to defeat the Republican party. We can and will take back our great nation and also take back our great Democratic Party. We as Democrates must have some kind of self destruct button that when we have someone as wonderful as Hillary Clinton to offer, we screw it up. Maybe Obama will become "irrelevant" but maybe, just please maybe, people are sick to their souls of what has happened in the past 8 years squandering so many great resources, watching a city drown (Good Job, Brownie), and I am so much broker that I was 8 years ago that they will not vote for the Republican retoric even if it means voting for Obama's retoric....Hillary will be stronger and still be fighting away as a power--more so with a Democratic White House! If we are truly Hillary supporters, let us indeed support her. Let us try to understand the politics behind all that has happened and pull together to make those politics work for us, not against us. We are all in agreement that the outcome and the handling of our candidate selection process was not right. It was messed up! But we cannot endure another loss. We, as a free society, will lose so much more than we have lost if we continue in any way, shape, or form the current Adminstration for another term. We have to work within our party to improve it and, also, we have to put our party (with its total imperfections) into power or our constitution continues to be undermined, our rights removed, and our prosperity squandered. This is what Senator Clinton is telling us....we need to believe it and continue to support her! May God bless each and everyone of us in this Nation as we strive to choose that which is right and good for the survival of ours and our childrens way of life.
