I was a strong Hillary supporter but at some point you move on for the good of the country. When I see these blogs giving credance to McCain, I have to wonder if this is a Hillary supporter or is this a Republican tactic to get the votes. I can't imagine any true Hillary supporter voting for McCain. Please don't buy into this - our country cannot afford 4 more years!!!

""When I see these blogs giving credance to McCain""

These blogs are an outlet for people to vent their political frustrations.

People can either verbally vent online, or track down the candidates they hate and kill them.

Which do you prefer?

Once again, I repost my plea to Hillary supporters, abridged:

I know that many of you, including myself, have been supporting Hillary for 16 years since 1992, since 1996, since 2000.

Many of us harbour a deep-rooted support and love for Hillary that is firmly twisted into the fibre of our heart, mind, and soul.

Many of us are supporters who have watched her rise and fall and fight and rise, rise and fall and fight and rise.

We have prayed for her, cried with her, and fought to defend her.

We the voters - You and only You - have the power to Carry On and Finish what Hillary started - a galvanizing, aggregating, grassroots, coast to coast nationwide campaign to place the Democratic Party into the White House to Change America's Direction.

Hillary will continue to fight for all the issues she supports and she will continue to fight to oust the current administration from office.

Hillary and the DNC need Americans to oust Republicans from the Capital Hill.

They need us to vote in the party who will continue her life's work.

By not voting for Barack, you directly and willfully undermining the main goal Hillary and the Democratic Party have tried to accomplish this election season - Booting the Republicans from the White House.

Do you really want to undermine her life's work, especially her grueling work these past 16 months, by blocking her goal of placing the Democratic Party into the White House?

99% of your frustration began in 2000, with the loss of Al Gore as President, and in 2004, with the loss of John Kerry, frustration that has broiled your blood for 8 years.

The DNC's back-stabbing of Hillary is NOTHING compared to the 8 years of destruction wrought by the Bush Administration and RNC.

Your vote should be for the party whose ideals you support, not one individual politician - the entire political party governs, not just the singular candidate. Barack will be governing alongside hundreds upon hundreds of Democratic staff officials and elected representatives, not all by himself.

A vote for him is a vote for the Democratic Party and Hillary and an end to current Republican leadership/policies.

I am sooooooo upset that so called Dems are turning their backs on the party over personalities. Maybe the economy and other issues haven't affected them over the past 8 years. Please don't be selfish and throw the election for those of us who are hurting due to lack of health care and low wages. I can bearly affort to drive to work in rural America. Back off and rethink!!!!!!

I too thought that Hillary would have been a better president and hoped that she would be Obama's pick for Veep. However, at this stage of the election, your approach would ensure a McCain victory and four more years (at least) of Carl Rove politics and George Bush policies. I ask you to reconsider if you care anything about the issues that Hillary campaigned on and has worked for throughout her life.

I feel that it is not so much a matter of the foreign or domestic policies of a particular candidate which motivate your support, but rather the fact that Hillary is female. Little by little, we women will gain the rights and respect we so deserve and demand from the DNC, RNC, and the rest of the nation. But for the time being, we need to act by voting with our heads and not with our broken hearts. If you are a Democrat, and I repeat, IF you are a Democrat, you need to swallow your pride and follow Hillary's lead and support Obama's candidacy. Obama is not the enemy, McCain is.

If Barack Obama is considering recent issues actually, he would pick Hillary Clinton as his running mate.
However he chose Joe Biden for himself, but not for the people.
I heard that Biden went to Georgia, but I beleive that Hillary has more experience of foreign policy than him. At least she is younger than him.
Obama is arrogant.
I still think that Hillary would be the better president than Obama.

Give it up and start supporting Obama! Hillary lost and for good reason she was politics as usual! If I were Barak, I would not have asked her to be my VP, I would not dared to turn my back to her! And for the record I am a 65 year white women who would like to see a woman pres, but I want one that deserves the position!!!!

I think most people outside of the United States have come to expect a certain amount of hypocrisy in U.S. actions. However, we are accustomed to hearing it from the Republicans. This faction that is hell bent on denying change not only for the U.S. but indeed for the world, is truly mindboggling.

Just some honest questions:

If Hillary is now supporting Barack Obama, who we believe to be a bad guy, doesn't that mean she is bad for supporting him?

If she is just pretending, however, or doing it for the sake of the party but really feels differently, wouldn't that make her a fake/phony/hypocrite/fraud/liar?

If she is geniune in her support, and we believe in her experience and judgement, shouldn't we then support a candidate she supports and not sit at home/vote for someone else who doesn't represent our values?

I would really appreciate any honest answers to these questions.

Thanks.

I feel sorry for Hillary.
As long as she is in the Democratic Party, her colleagues would force her to support Obama.
They are similar to your bosses in your companies.
Do you think that she has an altinative way?
Though this site is for Hillary's backers, I wonder why a lot of backers of Obama criticized Hillary and we have to read them?
I want to write my opinion.
I still beleive that Hillary would become the better president than Obama.
Is it wrong?
Does Obama want to stop writing?
If he want to manoeuver publc opinions by internets and various medias, I can't respect him.
I don't think his behaviar fits to be the president.
He criticized that McCain didn't know how many houses he had, but I think that Obama didn't know how many people were sufferd by him.
If you support Obama, you shouldn't care what Hillary's backers say.
Don't take away our rights that we can support Hillary, our favorite.
I don't want to be handled about my opinion by anyone.

Undecided Hillary supporters don't truly believe Obama is a bad politician.

Undecided Hillary supporters are extremely angered that the DNC and screwed the American people and that Obama didn't select Hillary as VP.

"""If she is just pretending"""

All politicians pretend, all politicians are hypocritical, all politicians flip-flop, all politicians are deceptive, all politicians lie.

All humans pretend, engage in hypocrisy, flip-flop, deceive, lie, etc.

Pretending that she is the only person who ever existed who "lied" (for the sake of her party and country) and using that pretense to claim she is unqualified to be a politician makes you an idiot.

"""I would really appreciate any honest answers to these questions."""

Vote for the person who will lead the country in the direction you want the country to be led.

If you hate Hillary, get off pro-Hillary blogs.

I think that if/when Obama gets elected, he'll use his power to get revenge on Hillary. He'll do anything he can to make sure that she can never run again.

Obama and the DNC are humilating her as we speak, presumably with a lot of arm twisting behind the scenes. Hillary is pretty much saying, "they're making me publicly support Obama but I want you to stand up for me one last time here in Denver".

If Obama loses, then Hillary has a good chance in 2012. If he wins, then Hillary will be banished for life.

I don't know if Obama would make a great President, but one thing for sure, Hillary Clinton and her supporters have shown the lack of grace which in my eyes disqualifies her from being President of this country. I was once a great supporter of the Clintons. I am very disppointed and saddened by their antics. Let me ask you a question Is 4 more years of GOP divisive tactics, lack of vision, no energy policy, and a huge economic gap between the wealthy and the have nots is what you want? Any other political party ,even the GOP would have rallied around the front runner. As ususal the democrats have a way of messing up golden opporutnities. Please mrs. clinton. It's over. Your antics have not only disqualified you for 2008 but beyond

that's the attitude of the Obama gang: let the purge begin! Let no one dissent from fascist Obama!

Allright, as a Canadian who recognizes that he has no right to vote in the U.S. I would like to ask America to vote for Obama. If it helps think of it as voting democrat. I like hillary clinton. This isn`t a personal spite against her. What she has done for health care in your country is unprecedented. I just can`t deal with another 4 years of Republican rule. Despite the fact that I`m not an American citizen, this election profoundly affects me and pretty much everyone else in the world. I don`t dislike John McCain as a person, however if I have to live through 4 more years of someone who ``agrees with bush 95% of the time``, I`m gonna blow my brains out. Please vote democrat this election: if not for Hillary, or America, or the rest of the world, then for me; a Canadian kid who doesn`t have a say.

``I think that if/when Obama gets elected, he'll use his power to get revenge on Hillary. He'll do anything he can to make sure that she can never run again.``

I think this is paranoia. No offence but I don`t see any reason why he would do that. Hillary`s and Obama`s political platform are practically identical. If you`re wondering why she wasn`t chosen as VP it`s because the Obama camp wanted to take advantage of a growing republican dislike for sen McCain. Had he chosen Hillary as a VP he risked uniting the Republican base against a common foe. Seriously, is there anything Republicans are more afraid of than Clinton and Obama. The crappy part is Obama that didn`t count on, as he should have, on the devotion of Hillary supporters. By not selecting Hillary he enraged a major part of his base and now He`s suffering for it. As a supporter of Democracy I would like to ask America not to vote out of spite. That way everyone suffers. GO DEMOCRATS!!!

Hillary is heads and shoulders above Barack. If Obama wins 2008, then he probably will in 2012. If that happens Hillary will be an "old" woman by 2016. Her chances then - would be nil. Old men are distinguished - but old woen ae a different story

"""I think that if/when Obama gets elected, he'll use his power to get revenge on Hillary"""

He already has achieved revenge:

-by rejecting The People's Choise (Hillary won popular vote) as VP.

-by pulling the race card against his personal heroes whom he praised in two of his books (Bill and Hillary)

"""If Obama loses, then Hillary has a good chance in 2012."""

If Obama loses, Obama supporters will blame Hillary supporters and Hillary. They will scream, "Hillary supporters voted for McCain, Hillary supporters voted against Obama, it's Hillary's fault for not dropping out of the race in the beginning" etc.

Those accusations are already being made against Hillary supporters.

Which is another key reason why Hillary supporters don't want to vote for Obama:

Why should millions of her supporters vote for a candidate (Obama) whose supporters continually bash them and Hillary?

I'M STILL A STRONG HILLARY SUPPORTER,IM NOT GOING TO VOTE,OBAMA DIDNT EVEN HELP HIS HALF BROTHER.

HILLARY IS THE BEST! I voted for her during the primaries because I believed she represented what I felt was the right direction, but I'm now set on voting for Obama because it would be illogical to do otherwise. It is the struggle for the common man, the working-class, the minorities, the oppressed and the distressed--those who are invisible to their government--that is at the core of social democracy. Both Obama and Clinton representthis and, disregarding appearance and demeanor, have identical visions for the future of America: pulling troops from Iraq within a year, energy conservation, healthcare etc. To vote for John McCain as a Hillary Clinton supporter would be equivalent to pissing on all that Clinton represented, and choosing temporary emotional "catharsis" over the opportunity to rectify the wrongs of the past eight years and chart a course for an optimistic future. There is a lot at stake; both Clinton and Obama stood on the right side of the issues and that cannot be denied as a supporter of either candidate. And, looking back, whether or not Clinton or Obama won would make absolutely no difference to me personally, as long as at least one of them succeeded in defeating the Republicans (McCain is just a puppet...and arguably all politicians funded by corporate giants) and taking back the white house. If Hillary is to have any success in the future (I hope she runs again), Obama must win this time around. If Obama loses, the resentment will be permanent; McCain will veto every bill the Clinton and the Democrats get through Congress, including one for Universal Healthcare. The Democrats will be spent and hopeless as the party with too large and fickle a constituency for its leaders: one that can't even come around to voting a democratic candidate president, because of supporters of another candidate who embodies exactly the same ideas, values, principles and ideals, but might be too "different", too "disrespectful", or too "arrogant", didn't vote or voted for someone with the opposite orientation on the issues. Hillary Clinton isn't stupid. I trust that she knows exactly what she's doing by putting her full support behind Obama because it is advantageous for her to do so politically (by giving her another chance to become the first female president!). btw John McCain is asserting an interpretation of Clinton's words perpetuated by the media because it's "interesting", that is denied by Clinton herself. The disrespect here is coming from the Republican machine (of which McCain is a victim), who are reducing her to a one dimensional, sound-bite tape player, that does not reflect Clinton at all and that is offensive if you ask me: she says that she supports Obama full-heartedly but the media questions her because controversy is news and the Republicans love it when Clinton supporters fall into their trap.

Thank goodness Hillary Clinton has more brains than a lot of her supporters who say they will vote for McCain(unless as others have suggested these people are McCain wolves pretending to be Hillary supporters). As Senator Clinton stated last night... are your loyalties to her or the "good of the country". If it's the former and you vote for McCain and he's elected, you deserve what you get!
It also makes me wonder as many of these "wounded" Hillary warriors are women who are making important decisions based on emotion rather than intellect. I'm a woman and these arguments are an embarrassment.

As one of the many anonymous posters here said, Democracy suffers when people vote out of spite.

I think a lot of the frustrated Hillary supporters who post here and elsewhere have legitimate grievances about how their candidate was treated by the media and members of the Democratic party. However, if after the past eight years, you haven't learned that elections matter -- that the people who occupy the White House can make huge impacts on our lives and on the lives of people around the world -- then you haven't been paying attention.

A lot of people voted for Bush in 2000 because they were frustrated with the Lewinsky mess and they didn't think it made a difference whether a centrist Democrat or a centrist Republican was president. Over the past eight years, we've all suffered the consequences of that decision, and a McCain presidency would just prolong the suffering.

Casting a vote out of spite -- rather than out of a genuine desire put the country on the right path -- trivializes the importance of this election. As Hillary argued in her brilliant speech last night, we can't afford to make that mistake this year.

I keep hearing that its time to move on, and I am and have always been a Democrate however I can not in all good conciuos back or vote for Obama. My vote stays with Hillary Clinton and if not with her then with an independate candidate. I would rather McCain than Obama. I gave my country 12 years in the service voluntarily and was disabled unfortunatly. I cannot let go of the better candidate, Hillary all the way.
