WASHINGTON - Secretary of State Clinton was recuperating at home Thursday, figuring out how to send text messages and emails as she nurses a broken right elbow that will require surgery to mend, her spokesman said. "She is at home resting comfortably -- or uncomfortably," said State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley. "She is working from home. She has already taken some calls, and I'm sure learning … how well you can text with one arm in a sling." Husband Bill Clinton and daugther Chelsea came to Washington Wednesday night to be with her.Clinton fell Wednesday at about 5 p.m. in the basement of the State Department while heading for her car and a White House meeting along with Special Ambassador for Afghanistan and Pakistan Richard Holbrooke. In pain, Clinton aborted the meeting and returned to her office, where she was examined and aides a short time later decided to take her to nearby George Washington University Hospital, Crowley said.President Obama telephoned Clinton late Wednesday night to check on her, the White House said.Clinton will undergo surgery in a few days is expected to return quickly to work. "I don't think it was a severe break, you know, which is why I think, you know, she will have the surgery in the coming days," Crowley said. "But how it affects her -- I mean, you all know Hillary Clinton. She's already probably plotting how to get back to the office as quickly as possible. And we're just going to assess this on a day-to-day basis." But Clinton's public appearances for Thursday were cancelled, and Crowley said it was too early to tell if there would be any effect on planned trips in the coming weeks to Italy and Greece.

Appearing on a popular Turkish television chat show, Hadi Gel Bizimle (Come and Join Us), Clinton tackled a few diplomatic questions but the main focus was on her personal life, such as when she "last" fell in love."It was so long ago, with my husband," she told the studio audience, adding that she first met former President Bill Clinton in the spring of 1971 when they were at law school.

I would like to know what happened to the working class tax cut in our paychecks. Seems after it passed the House and went to the Senate it got cut. I will say now,that yes there are to many areas of this bill that should not be in this Recovery effort. I thank the Republicans for bringing this out. With nominations of people with questionable backgrounds in this area,I will be also one who wonders what is up. The notion that Hillary's women will automatically become Sarah's carries the implicit assumption that a woman is a woman is a woman is a woman, that disaffected female supporters of Clinton will flock to Palin because she has the right reproductive organs and never mind that, politically, the two could hardly be less alike. Never mind pro-choice versus pro-life. Never mind Iraq, Iran, gas prices, the mortgage crisis, failing schools. Chromosomes conquer all.Palin-McCain is practising the same slash and burn politics of division of the Bush years.

Let me share this story of my week-end.I went to "Bele Chere".The name comes from an ancient Scottish dialect and means 'beautiful life' or 'beautiful living'.It is the largest outdoor street festival in the Southeast,with more than 365,000 people attending in Asheville NC.I went by an Obama booth and mentioned that I hoped that Obama would choose Hillary as VP.What I got back was a smug,rude response and attitude.I was polite and walked away.Is this what the Democratic party wants.Over half the party walking away? Polls Shows Warning Signs For Obama

A growing number of Clinton supporters polled say they may stay home in November instead of casting their ballot for Obama, an indication the party has yet to coalesce around the Illinois senator four weeks after the most prolonged and at times divisive primary race in modern American history came to a close.

According to a CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll released Friday, the number of Clinton supporters who plan to defect to Republican Sen. John McCain's camp is down from one month ago, but -- in what could be an ominous sign for Obama as he seeks to unify the party -- the number of them who say they plan to vote for Obama is also down, and a growing number say they may not vote at all.

In a CNN/Opinion Research Corp. survey completed in early June before the New York senator ended her White House bid, 60 percent of Clinton backers polled said they planned on voting for Obama. In the latest poll, that number has dropped to 54 percent.

In early June, 22 percent of Clinton supporters polled said they would not vote at all if Obama were the party's nominee, now close to a third say they will stay home.

In another sign the wounds of the heated primary race have yet to heal, 43 percent of registered Democrats polled still say they would prefer Clinton to be the party's presidential nominee.
That number is significantly higher than it was in early June, when 35 percent of Democrats polled said they preferred Clinton to lead the party's presidential ticket.

Obama won 59 percent of support from registered Democrats polled in June; now he garners 54 percent.

Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama's campaign announced Friday that he will campaign with former rival Hillary Rodham Clinton next week, a step toward unifying a fractured Democratic Party after a bruising primary fight.
Obama's campaign said the two senators and former opponents will campaign together for the first time on Friday, June 27, and more details would be forthcoming.
A day earlier, Obama and Clinton also plan to meet in Washington with some of her top contributors in an effort to calm donors who remain frustrated with Obama's presidential campaign. The former first lady will introduce Obama to her financial backers.
Obama's campaign disclosed the joint appearance — but offered few details — one day after announcing that he would reverse an earlier position and reject some $85 million in public financing for the general election. That announcement opened him up to a flood of criticism and dominated the news cycle.
A rally will be the morning after the two meet privately Thursday at a Washington hotel with former Clinton donors.

"If you read the columnists, listen to the pundits and talk to the usual crowd of Washington insiders, all you get is visible pain when the idea of an Obama-Clinton ticket is floated. Could the Beltway crowd have it wrong once again?

Remember the Jan. 31 debate in Los Angeles when Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) and Barack Obama (D-Ill.) debated one on one for the first time and the biggest applause line of the night was Wolf Blitzer’s suggesting the possibility of a “dream ticket”?

Of course, there is no such thing — every ticket is flawed to a certain degree. But, right now, given the task before the Democrats, Obama-Clinton gives us the winning formula and may be just what is needed to play beyond the Beltway.

Let’s look at the multitude of reasons why. Democratic unity is critical as we move toward November. Democrats can ill afford to have their Democratic base, as expanded as it is, become split. If Obama wins 90 percent, or thereabouts, of the Democratic vote he will win. If he loses 20 percent or more of that vote, it could be big trouble.

John Kerry won 89 percent of the Democratic vote, Bush won 93 percent of the Republican vote and Kerry won the independent vote 49-48 (37, 37 and 26 percent, respectively, of the electorate). In 2000, Gore won 86 percent of the Democrats, Bush won 91 percent of Republicans and Bush edged out Gore with independents, 47-45. But because Democrats outnumbered Republicans 39-35, as we know, Gore “won” by 500,000 votes.

If Obama can bring the Hillary Clinton Democrats back in the fold, McCain is clearly toast. The fear for Democrats, of course, is that the anger among women voters, seniors and Hispanics about the nomination will cause them to vote McCain or stay home. Both possibilities are devastating to Democrats.

Look at the situation with women voters. They were 52 percent of the electorate in 2000 and 54 percent in 2004; presumably they will be higher in 2008 given the primary turnouts. Gore won 54-43 among women, Kerry a narrower 51-48. Obama needs the female vote — and he especially needs female Democrats.

Hillary Clinton can help unite those voters. In addition, there is a potential problem if Obama chooses another woman — Govs. Janet Napolitano of Arizona or Kathleen Sebelius of Kansas, for example —and passes over Hillary. Clinton ran hard and, many believe, earned the loyalty and admiration of this voting bloc. The question would be: Why didn’t you choose her — why another woman who hasn’t been tested?

Look also at Clinton’s strengths with Hispanic voters and her primary victories of over 2-1 with this voting group. One-third of California’s population is Latino, and Democrats need to lock this state up. In swing states such as New Mexico, Colorado, Nevada and even Florida, the Hispanic vote is growing rapidly and could well be key to winning those states. The New Democratic Network (NDN) predicts there will be 14 million registered Hispanics by November and over 3 million more will vote than in 2004.

And don’t forget working-class Democrats in the big states like Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan, as the Clinton forces keep reminding us!

Finally, the Clinton strength among older voters will help Obama. The 60-and-over crowd is over 20 percent of voters, and Obama needs to do well there.

Other candidates mentioned do not add a great deal to the ticket. Former Georgia senator and defense expert Sam Nunn and former Gen. Wes Clark could hurt Obama by emphasizing the “experience” issue.

Gov. Ted Strickland of Ohio, a key state, is pro-life — not a good idea if you want to bring women back into the campaign. There are others who are excellent public servants and probably fit the old adage of “do no harm” but don’t solve the problem of ensuring unity.

Will Hillary accept it, I don’t know; will Obama offer it, hard to say; will she bring “baggage” as she says, you bet. But she has run an extraordinary race and she brings a tough, pragmatic, tested voice to the table. A strong voice that works well on the campaign trail and in government can’t be underestimated.

It may be just what the Democrats need to bring the party and the country together … outside the Beltway."

The case for an Obama-Clinton ticket, also known as, you got any better ideas?

"As anyone who follows Democratic politics closely knows, the idea of an Obama-Clinton "unity" or "dream" ticket has been confidently buried by a host of pundits, usually citing sources in the Obama campaign. And so long as the unity ticket was perceived as a demand from Sen. Clinton or her camp, as a tribute to her candidacy, her following, her husband's legacy, or even her gender, it made perfect sense for Team Obama to throw cold water on the concept.
But now Clinton has folded her campaign and endorsed Obama in terms that satisfied all but the most bitter-end Hillary-haters, and Obama has signaled that he's going to take his time in determining a running mate (a leisurely pace now ensured by the need to vet a new vetter after Jim Johnson's implosion). That means he can, if he wishes, take a good, long look at the unity ticket in the real-life context of his available options. If he does, it may start looking a lot better.

The positive case for the unity ticket is pretty simple. With the political landscape (from issues, to partisan ID trends, to voter motivation) favoring Democrats in November, a united party will almost certainly win. And at present, the divisions in the party aren't about ideology, or policy, or even how to conduct the general election. They are largely feudal, in the sense that they have emerged from the passionate personal attachment of activists and voters to these two powerful and historic chieftains. Merging their candidacies for the general election is the obvious way to address the problem, and thus the unity ticket ought to be treated as having a rebuttable presumption of sensibility.

It is an idea that is far more popular with rank-and-file Democrats than with the chattering classes. Polls show that a consistent majority of the self-identified Democrats -- and big majorities of those who voted for Clinton in the primaries -- favor putting her on the ticket. In the few days between Obama's victory speech and Clinton's concession, there were rumblings of an organized effort in Congress (and hence among superdelegates) to endorse the unity ticket, but Clinton's instructions to supporters to refrain from pressuring Obama drove such talk underground.

I don't think there's much doubt that Clinton's supers and donors would be very pleased to see her at least asked to go on the ticket. There is also abundant, alarming evidence that a significant share of Clinton primary voters are currently peeved enough to stay home in November or vote for John McCain. Will many of these voters "get over it" and get with the program absent a pro-Clinton gesture? Almost certainly. But does that justify dismissing the whole problem as something that will take care of itself? Not if you care about winning what may be a close election.

Aside from the salutary impact on intra-party divisions, the unity ticket would benefit from Hillary Clinton's specific political strengths. No, I'm not talking about her impressive primary performance among Catholics, non-college-educated voters, and the "white working class" generally, since we don't really know how much of that success is transferable to a general election. But no one can rationally deny that Clinton has a strong, demonstrated, personal appeal to at least two major categories of voters who will be targeted by the GOP: older women and Hispanics.

Those who dislike the unity ticket concept (often people who just don't like Hillary Clinton and/or her husband) sometimes concede the above points, but respond that her negative "baggage" far outweighs any advantages she would bring to Obama. Let's go through a few of their arguments.

First, you often hear that Bill and Hillary could not possibly serve as obedient foot soldiers (or, more accurately, senior officers) in the Obama campaign or administration. If true, this would indeed be a disqualifier. But how, really, do any of us know that? For all the power they've enjoyed, Sen. Clinton and her husband have had to accept about as much humiliation and frustration as any two politicians you could imagine. Obama would definitely and rightly demand complete authority in his administration, and if the Clintons can't live with that, it's unlikely they'd sign on in any event. Just as important, this is a difficult threshold issue for many of the people you hear "mentioned" for the vice-presidency. Hillary Clinton is hardly the only one with a "difficult" personality, a "loose cannon" spouse, a fawning retinue of loyalists, or a habit of seeing the next president of the United States in the mirror each morning. Sure, some Obama supporters think that the Clintons are outsize villains, pathologically devoted to themselves and nothing else. But by Washington standards, where every member of Congress is a Sun King in his or her own realm, the Clintons really don't stand out as especially self-focused.

Second of all, we are often told that Clinton as running mate would undermine Obama's message of "change," either because of her last name and past notoriety, or her vote for the Iraq war resolution, or her symbolic role in the Washington Democratic establishment. Aside from the dubious nature of the claim that many voters are particularly interested in Obama's specific "theory of change," there's the fact that most Democratic voters, and a good majority of independents and some Republicans, look back fondly at the Clinton administration, and have never really bought into the idea (occasionally expressed by Obama) that the corruption and incompetence of Washington is as attributable to Democrats as to the GOP. Moreover, is Hillary Clinton really more identified with the Washington establishment than, say, Tom Daschle, Joe Biden, Chris Dodd or, for that matter, Al Gore (all of whose names have been floated for the veepship)?

As for HRC's war vote, it's important to acknowledge that the Democratic Party (and not just electeds or elites, but actual voters) is a coalition of people who supported and opposed the Iraq war, but are now largely united in favoring what Obama calls a "responsible withdrawal." (Quite a few of the alternatives to Clinton being discussed voted for the war resolution as well.) If Barack Obama can't manage to distinguish himself clearly from John McCain on this subject without a "right from the start" antiwar running mate, then he's in deep political trouble.

Finally, opponents of the unity ticket argue that Clinton on the ticket will "energize" Hillary-hating conservative activists who have been relatively cool to McCain. (Talk about letting the enemy control the battlefield!) I personally have no doubt that the McCain campaign will inevitably become a low-road enterprise that, if nothing else, will energize conservatives, and its arguments against Obama are already heavily slanted toward "character" attacks. They'll get the haters no matter what, but the haters only get to vote once.

And that brings us to what is perhaps the strongest pro-Hillary argument. Let's do something that Clintonphobes often forget to do: compare her to realistic alternatives. Obama doesn't have any obvious alternative option that will please everyone, much less provide the political payoff of an Obama-Clinton ticket. To cite just one problem, Obama will be under intense pressure to name a woman as a running mate, and under equally intense pressure not to do so, since anyone other than Hillary Clinton will be perceived as representing a "pander." But who would that other woman be? Kathleen Sebelius has no international experience. Janet Napolitano doesn't either, and she would face innuendoes about her marital status. Claire McCaskill has a shorter résumé than Obama's.

While there are plenty of qualified Democrats -- and even Republicans -- available to Obama, none is without handicaps, risks or shortcomings. Edwards and Strickland have taken themselves out of the running. Many feminists consider Jim Webb unacceptable, and many gays and lesbians feel the same way about Sam Nunn. Mark Warner's running for the Senate. Daschle's been a lobbyist. Biden's been a Washington fixture for 36 years, and supported the war resolution. Like Sebelius, Daschle, Nunn, Evan Bayh and Brian Schweitzer are from states no Democrat is likely to carry. Bayh or Dodd would immediately lose Democrats a Senate seat. Sherrod Brown's not a very unifying figure. And Al Gore excepted, none of those mentioned have been endorsed by 17 million-some-odd primary voters.

I could go on, but you get the idea: There ain't no easy running mate. Those who are so quick to dismiss the unity ticket have an obligation to come up not just with a better idea, but a better idea that can command broad support in the party. It's obviously Barack Obama's choice, and his choice alone, but he should remember that this is one year when a united Democratic Party will have an overwhelming advantage in the general election. That's a change we can believe in."

It does not help when the Obama supporters continue to play the 'race card'.I see this in many comments left here at this site. I saw this by the Obama campaign and the press during the primary season.The Clinton's have always supported/fought for equal rights for ALL.To me this is an insult. Harold Ikes said that the campaign would like to keep Hillary¹s delegates together so
that she can more effectively fight for issues like universal health care to

One of the super delegates who was in London in fact complained about
the strong arm pressure from the Obama campaign to immediately (last Friday
before Hillary¹s speech) switch their vote to Obama.

To me the strategy is clear. The Obama folks want to try and prevent
us from nominating Hillary at the convention and voting for her at the
convention. We need to STOP this. Historically losing candidates always have
their names put into nomination, give a great speech and then there is a
roll call vote. The presumptive nominee gets the majority and then there may
be a call to make it unanimous.We need to make sure that people are aware of this procedure. Once again the Obama people are trying to change the rule of the game, pretending that they were always the rules in order to push Hillary aside. We must keep them from succeeding.
We need to rebuke Howard Dean for saying that he hopes there isn¹t a role call vote at the convention.

"Lost in the excitement of Barack Obama's coronation this week was an inconvenient fact of Tuesday's results: Hillary Clinton netted approximately 150,000 votes and is now poised to finish the primary season as the popular-vote leader. In some quaint circles, presumably, these things still matter.
Real Clear Politics keeps track of six versions of the popular-vote total. They are, in ascending order of inclusivity: (1) the popular vote of sanctioned contests; (2) the total of sanctioned contests, plus estimated votes from the Iowa, Nevada, Maine and Washington caucuses; (3) the popular vote plus Florida; (4) popular vote plus Florida and the caucuses; (5) the popular vote plus Florida and Michigan; (6) popular vote plus Florida, Michigan, and the caucus estimates. After Tuesday, Clinton now leads in two of these six counts.

If you believe that the most important precept in democratic politics is to "count every vote," then the sixth category is the most inclusive, and here Clinton leads Obama by 71,301 votes. Of course, this includes the Michigan result, where Sen. Obama had removed his name from the ballot. So while it may be the most inclusive, it may not be the most fair.

The third and fourth counts - the ones which include Florida - seem more fair. Here, Obama is clinging to a slight lead of 146,786 votes (257,008, with the caucus estimates). However, with Puerto Rico, Montana, and South Dakota remaining, he will almost certainly finish behind her in these counts, likely by a few hundred thousand votes.

But could Clinton take over the lead in all of the popular-vote tabulations? Quite possibly. In Puerto Rico's last major election, two million people voted. Let's assume that turnout for this historic vote - Puerto Rico has never had a presidential primary before - will be equal to or greater than that turnout.

If Clinton were to win Puerto Rico by 20 points she would pick up at least a 400,000-vote margin. This would allow her to swamp Obama in the popular-vote counts, which include Florida, making her the leader in four of the six permutations of the popular vote. At that point, Obama would be left clinging to the least-inclusive count, which he now leads by 441,558 votes (551,780, including caucuses).

To understand how razor-thin this majority is, consider that if the Puerto Rico turnout is slightly larger than we have imagined - or Clinton's margin is slightly greater - then Clinton would finish the primary process leading in every conceivable vote count. With two million voters, a 28 percent victory would put Clinton over the top even in the count, which excludes Florida and Michigan and includes estimates for Obama's caucus victories.

It is this looming prospect which explains the tremendous pressure Obama partisans and the media are putting on Clinton to drop out of the race. They want her gone now because they understand that she has an excellent chance of finishing as the undisputed people's choice.

Would it matter if Clinton were the undisputed (or even disputed) popular-vote winner? That's hard to say. The question is, matter to whom? The superdelegates will determine the nominee and there's no telling what will sway them. They have no objective criteria from which to make their decisions. But if they were to deny the popular-vote champ the nomination, there is a real question of whether Democratic voters would reconcile themselves to the decision. As it is, much of the talk about Democratic defections in November has been overstated.

Partisan voters almost always come home after their candidate loses. The problem arises when a candidate's supporters believe that their guy (or gal) didn't lose. Expect the chorus calling for Clinton's withdrawal to grow louder over the next week, with people insisting that she has no "path to victory."

Clinton's path is both obvious and simple: Win the popular vote and force Barack Obama and his cheerleaders to explain why that doesn't matter."

ASHEVILLE – Sen. Hillary Clinton told a raucous and inspired Asheville crowd Thursday that as commander in chief she would end the war in Iraq while enacting universal health care and reviving a faltering economy.

Flanked by retired generals and with a backdrop reading “Solutions for a Strong Military,” the former first lady was repeatedly interrupted by standing ovations with thunderous applause inside the Asheville Civic Center’s Thomas Wolfe Auditorium.

One such outburst came with her pledge to begin withdrawing troops from Iraq within 60 days of becoming president.

“We must restore our moral authority around the world. That begins by ending the war in Iraq,” she said. “I will begin withdrawing our troops, and I will tell the Iraqis they must step up.”

Some 2,500 people packed the auditorium while hundreds more couldn’t get in. Attendees waived signs reading, “Welcome Madam Future President,” “Asheville Loves Hillary” and “Rural Country = Clinton Country.”

Clinton was introduced by retired Gen. Hugh Shelton, a North Carolina native and former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Shelton is among 19 former generals and admirals who signed an open letter in support of her candidacy.

“She understands the impact of endless commitments on our service personnel and their families,” he said. “She is the only candidate to offer a responsible plan for ending the war in Iraq.

“We need a president who will return America to its rightful place as the leader of all nations. We need to make her the next president of the United States.”

Economy, taxes
Nancy Perez, 64, pushed to the front of the Asheville Civic Center and waited two hours to try to shake Clinton’s hand.

“I did it. I shook hands with her. There were so many people trying to grab a handshake,” she said. “I’m voting for her. I’m totally in favor of everything she advocates. One of the best things is affordable health care for everyone.”

Coming off a 10-point win in the Pennsylvania primary over rival Barack Obama, Clinton faces a tougher challenge in North Carolina, where Obama holds a double-digit lead in most polls.

North Carolina holds its primary May 6 and is the largest remaining prize in terms of delegates. Clinton challenged her rival to a debate in the Tar Heel state. So far, he’s declined.

“It’s exciting to see North Carolina so involved in picking the next president,” she said. “I’m the underdog, but that’s OK because I think America’s worth fighting for.”

Clinton talked about the state of the nation’s economy and noted that her husband ended his presidency with a balanced budget and a surplus.

“We have to recognize the economy is not working for most Americans,” she said. “It’s working for the wealthy and the well-connected. We have seen incomes fall.

“That balanced budget and surplus are long gone. We are living on borrowed money and foreign oil.”

Clinton said she would end tax benefits for companies that move jobs out of the country and restore fairness to a tax code that she said taxes middle-class Americans at a higher rate than many who are wealthy.

Health care, education
The crowd cheered wildly when she said that all Americans should have access to quality, affordable health care.

“I’m the only candidate left in the race with a plan for universal health care,” she said.

Clinton also pledged to institute universal pre-kindergarten classes, end the federal No Child Left Behind education law, and expand grants and low-interest loans to attend college.

“We are slamming the door to college for too many middle-class families who can’t afford it,” she said.

Sandra Tolley, of Madison County, a teacher for 32 years, agreed with Clinton’s plan to do away with No Child Left Behind. It has forced students to become only test-takers, Tolley said.

“A new approach is needed in education,” she said. “We have not been getting students ready for the 21st century and being competitive.”

Sen. John McCain, the presumptive Republican nominee, “would continue George Bush’s failed policies in Iraq and the economy,” Clinton said. “I ask you to think of this election as a hiring decision. I ask you who would you hire to turn this economy around.”

I wanted to post here a 'bulletin' from a 'friend' at my 'myspace':

"I'm compiling a series of news reports that back this up.
Isn't it strange that in most of the caucuses, where Hillary Clinton was leading in the polls up until election day by healthy margins, she's beaten by Barack Obama by 5-10 points? Interesting, isn't it?
The media, whom have fallen in love with the half-term Senator from Illinois, chalk this up to a superior ground game. However, I find it interesting that there are several discrepancies that indicate that Obama has cheated his way through the caucus system.
Caucuses tend toward Obama, but primaries tend toward Hillary, Has anyone wondered why this is? How could one "impartial" system favor one candidate over the other, and vice-versa?
I believe I have the answer to that question.
It started in Scranton, with a friend of a friend of mine, Roger. Roger worked the Scranton office for the Obama campaign. During the parade on Saint Patrick's Day Weekend, he wanted a clean, friendly approach to the people of Northeast Pennsylvania. Instead, some folks, whom only identified themselves as "working for the Obama campaign" swooped in, usurped him, and took over, instructing supporters to "get in the face" of Clinton supporters, to "intimidate, insult, and keep them from the polls at all costs.
The actions of Obama supporters in Scranton were reported on by the local Tom Corbett radio show.
Roger found this interesting, and started asking questions from the higher ups from the Obama campaign. His claims were dismissed, and those that came in, despite carrying official recognition, were denied ever having been there in the first place.
I spoke to someone this weekend -- let's just say, he's extremely knowledgeable about this presidential race -- that found it funny that, in the state of Wisconsin for example, Hillary gets more votes than all of the Republicans on the opposing ticket combined, but is still beat by Barack Obama.
He found it funny that, when the numbers are crunched, Obama gets more caucus votes than there are registered Democrats in the state.
He found it funny that it was reported that similar or identical names were provided on registration rolls in eight Obama-won states, over, and over, and over again, and always in separate precincts.
He found it interesting that Obama got his usual "surge" of roughly 800 voters in each caucus he has won.
Reports of money missing from the Obama campaign, the same amount before each primary, are attributed to "bus trips". That, I agree with.
However, there is an answer, and as I said, I'm 50% done with compiling the necessary information needed to go to the press with it:
Barack Obama has been shipping people in to each primary: Not to campaign, not to surrogate, not to organize campaign offices, not to phone bank, and not to canvass.
But to vote.
The same people have been voting in each caucus in each state. Busses. 20 of them. With roughly, 40 people each.
What's 40 x 20?
800.
The same thing was tried in Scranton, with voters from (most likely Philadelphia) other areas trying to register to vote in Northeast Pennsylvania. They're voting more than once, and quite literally, cheating Democrats out of their choice for the primary contest.
Don't get me wrong here, I know how this probably sounds: I'm always the one to call conspiracy theorists for what they are: nut jobs. I'm the practical one. I never, in my wildest dreams, thought that this could occur today.
Pennsylvania has very strict voting registration laws, and for this very reason, which is why Obama has generally ignored the state, so he can chalk this up to "oh, the Hillary victory was expected." But in states with very lax voting laws -- the very states he's won so far -- he's succeeded in wide margins where Clinton led only hours before.
Folks, the math just doesn't add up.
I'll finish my report, and I'll submit it to local and state press. The empirical evidence is there, and I'm positive there are those that will come to me and say how crazy all of this is. I only ask them to examine the election results I've seen so far, voter registration amounts, and then to add the numbers themselves.
Math is absolute. When you crunch numbers, you get what you get. Obama's numbers simply don't add up."

The Shift to Hillary

There are some pretty big changes happening out there with the voters. Barack Obama recently declared himself the frontrunner in the race, although there are 10 contests remaining and MI and FL have not yet been decided. But a look at the polls shows that Sen. Obama’s lead nationally with Democrats has been evaporating. The Gallup daily tracking poll shows Hillary leading Sen. Obama among Democrats by 7 points, and the latest Zogby/Reuters poll has Sen. Obama’s lead down from 14 points last month to just 3 points now. This suggests a strong swing in momentum in the race to Hillary since the Texas and Ohio primaries earlier this month.

The more that the voters learn about Barack Obama, the more his ability to beat John McCain is declining compared to Hillary. For a long time we have explained that poll numbers for a candidate who has not yet been vetted or tested are not firm numbers, and we are beginning to see that clearly. Just a month ago, the Obama campaign claimed that the polls showed Barack Obama doing better than Hillary against Sen. McCain. Now such numbers are a lot harder to find.

In the latest USA Today/Gallup poll, Hillary leads John McCain by 5 points (Hillary 51 / McCain 46) while Sen. Obama is only 2 points ahead of Sen. McCain (Obama 49 / McCain 47). This is a reversal from February, when Sen. McCain led Hillary by 4 points. The latest CNN poll also shows that Hillary leads Sen. McCain by a bigger margin than Barack Obama.

In several key states, Hillary is a stronger general election candidate than Barack Obama against John McCain. For example, the latest Survey USA poll has Hillary leading Sen. McCain by 6 points in Ohio while Sen. Obama trails Sen. McCain by 7 points. In Kentucky, Hillary’s margin against Sen. McCain is 26 points better than Barack Obama’s. In Missouri, Sen. Obama lags John McCain by 14 points while Hillary comes within 2 points of Sen. McCain. In Florida, the latest PPP poll shows Barack Obama losing to John McCain by 11 points while Hillary comes within 4 points of Sen. McCain. Last week's University of Central Arkansas poll showed Hillary leading Sen. Sen. McCain by 15 points in that state while Sen. Obama trails Sen. McCain by 16 points. And the latest Rasmussen poll showed Hillary leading Sen. McCain by 11 points in New Jersey while Sen. Obama trails Sen. McCain by 2 points.

Moreover, 24 percent of Florida Democrats say that if Florida's delegates are not counted at the Democratic convention in August, they are less likely to vote for a Democrat in November, according to the latest St. Petersburg Times/Bay News 9/Miami Herald poll. Since Florida is the single largest and most important swing state in the country and nearly 1.8 million Florida Democrats voted in the January primary, Democrats must find a solution to allow Florida's delegates to count if we are to have any hope of winning in November.

And in the crucial state of Pennsylvania – the next Democratic primary battleground and the biggest state which has not yet voted – the latest Quinnipiac poll shows Hillary doubling her Democratic primary lead over Barack Obama from 6 points to 12 points. In Pennsylvania, Hillary improved among men, maintained her 24 point advantage among women, and improved among younger, older, more educated and less educated voters. She leads in every region across the state (NE, SE, NW, SW, Central, Alleghany) with the exception of Philadelphia.

Ultimately, this Democratic nominating process is meant to select the candidate who will: a) be the best president – the best commander-in-chief, steward of the economy, and exercise leadership; b) defeat John McCain; and c) promote and defend core Democratic principles such as universal health care. On all three fronts, Hillary is the best choice for the Democratic Party.

Hillary is the runaway leader on most qualified to be commander-in-chief. In the Ohio exit poll, 60 percent of Democratic primary voters said Hillary was most qualified to be commander-in-chief, compared with 37 percent for Barack Obama. In Texas, she led by 16 points, and in most other states, she led by 10 points or more. She also won among those who said the economy was the most important issue – by 12 points in Ohio, for example. And in the latest CNN poll, more voters say Hillary would do a good job on the economy than Barack Obama or John McCain. Finally, in the latest USA Today/Gallup poll, Hillary leads Barack Obama on strong and decisive leadership, managing the government effectively and having a clear plan for solving the country’s problems.
